Liobate, Sun Yat-sen University, in cooperation with Bell Labs (France), III-V Labs (France), and Yestech (Germany), has achieved for the first time a transmission distance of 100 km for DP-QPSK signals at baud rates up to 260G baud, based on a lithium niobate thin-film coherent modulator chip developed by Liobate. The experimental results of this ultra-high-rate fiber optic communication are presented as a PDP paper (post-deadline paper) at the European Conference on Optical Communications 2022 (ECOC 2022).

Liobate made its debut at the 23rd China International Optoelectronic Expo from September 16-18, 2021, and became one of the hot spots in the whole event. At the conference, Liobate showcased and shared its technologies and products, such as TFLN modulator chips, 400G optical devices, device packaging, etc., which gained wide attention.

On 28th Mar. 2021, The headquarters of Liobate officially opened in Nanjing Red May Industrial Park, Fujian Rd., Gulou District, Nanjing, reaching a new milestone in the company’s development. The park has a total floor area of 19k square meters. Liobate has established cleanrooms, production platforms, and office areas totaling 1800 square meters.
